Free Consultation Call
To make sure I’m the best fit for your needs, we’ll start with a FREE 15-minute consultation call. We’ll talk about what you’re going through and what you’re looking for. If you decide we’re a good match, we’ll schedule an introductory session. If you decide you’re looking for something else, I’m happy to refer you to trusted colleagues.
Introductory (Intake) Session
You’ll fill out some forms ahead of time that we’ll talk about together during your intake. We’ll focus on the reason you’re seeking help, and we’ll see if we need to connect you with any other supports in addition to individual therapy. We’ll complete a few assessments and begin identifying your goals for counseling. Based on the information gathered, I’ll make a recommendation for care and we’ll decide on a path forward together.
Individual Counseling Sessions
Most individual counseling sessions are 55 minutes long, once a week. Sometimes, longer sessions can be helpful, especially if we are working through particularly difficult memories or complex issues. During your course of treatment, we’ll continuously assess the length and frequency of sessions based on your progress and needs. Note that generally, when using insurance benefits, sessions longer than 60 minutes are not covered.
